FAQ

As we enter another great year of ESO concerts, I’d like to address a few common questions that seem to come up frequently:

When can I buy tickets?
Pulse8 tickets go on sale at 10 am on the Monday prior to each available concert. (Or Tuesday if Monday is a statutory holiday.) This means that if you want to go to the Fraser Milner Casgrain Midweek Classics concert on Wednesday, October 4, the tickets will go on sale on Monday, October 2. If you want to go to the Robbins Pops concert on Friday, September 22, tickets will go on sale on Monday, September 18. And so on. In some cases an exception may be made, allowing for Pulse8 members to buy earlier than the Monday prior.

Which concerts can I get tickets for?
You can get tickets for most ESO concerts at Winspear Centre. The most common exceptions are Sobeys Symphony Under the Sky and Esso Symphony for Kids concerts (because these tickets are already very inexpensive) and concerts that are sold out by the Monday prior (since there aren’t any tickets available anyway). The ESO reserves the right to place certain restrictions in special situations.

Where will I sit?
There is not a designated Pulse8 section in the Winspear. Pulse8 members can select their seats from best available seating at the time of their purchase. For some of the popular concerts, seating options will be more limited, simply because more tickets have already been sold. Again, the ESO reserves the right to place certain restrictions in special situations.

How many tickets can I buy?
Unless otherwise noted, each Pulse8 member can purchase 2 tickets per concert.

How do I identify myself when buying my tickets?
Simply tell the box office your name, they will have a record of your membership on file. They may ask you to confirm some personal information, such as a phone number or address.

Do I have to renew my membership?
No, your membership stays valid until your 30th birthday.

What are the service charges on Pulse8 tickets?
The Winspear Centre box office charges agency fees on all ticket purchases. Purchases made in person at the Winspear Centre box office wickets are charged $3 per ticket. Purchases made over the phone are charged $4 per ticket and $2 per order.
